Say hello to the newest member of the Bucs family. Beekmin the Parrot is the new official mascot of the Anchorage Bucs Baseball Club. He spread his wings, flew the coop and made his debut on June 11, 1998 at Mulcahy Stadium at 7 p.m. He is friendly, cuddly and lovable.

Beekmin enjoys peanuts, Bucs' fans, vacations on an island paradise, and of course, crackers (not necessarily in that order). The character of the Parrot was created by Street Characters of Calgary, Canada. As well as being the teams #1 fan, Beekmin serves as the Bucs' goodwill ambassador, appearing year round at special Bucs' events, birthday parties and numerous charity and civic events.
